Tech and Media Expert John Tarnoff to Keynote 2015 Wireless Leadership Summit

July 27, 2015

(Herndon, VA)–The Enterprise Wireless Alliance (EWA), the national association and leading advocate for business enterprises that rely on wireless communications systems, and Technology Resource Network (TRN), announced today that educator and author—and former entertainment and technology executive—John Tarnoff will deliver the keynote address, “21 Paradigms for the 21st Century: How Digital Has Changed Everything,” at the 2015 Wireless Leadership Summit, an annual conference of trends, new technologies and best practices for the wireless industry.

A 40–year veteran of the entertainment and technology business, with experience at companies like Warner Bros., DreamWorks Animation and others, and as the founder of a tech startup, Tarnoff has turned his attention to education and training. He serves as a graduate-level professor and head of Industry Relations for Carnegie Mellon University’s Los Angeles-based Master of Entertainment Industry Management program. At the Summit, Tarnoff will share the four skills necessary to compete in a 21st Century digital marketplace.

“Those involved within the land mobile radio industry must continue to evolve and adapt to a changing regulatory and spectrum landscape year after year. New and emerging technologies must be introduced to keep pace with customer requirements, maximize the use of the limited spectrum resources available for private land mobile uses and to effectively compete against those who have far greater resources,” said EWA President and Chief Executive Officer Mark Crosby. “The Wireless Leadership Summit provides decision makers in this industry an opportunity to reflect on what these changes mean for their ongoing success. We are pleased to have John Tarnoff with us this year to share his views on how best to compete in today’s fast-paced environment,” he continued.

Co-hosted by EWA and TRN, the Wireless Leadership Summit provides information to help wireless business leaders stay ahead of industry trends, understand how regulation affects their business, see new technologies and services, create connections with technology partners and gain strategies that will help them grow their businesses. In addition, the Summit affords opportunities for networking and strengthening relationships with peers in the industry.

“We placed Tarnoff’s keynote at the end of the day, right before the reception, so that his address can bring together all of the conference themes and send us into an evening networking session,” said TRN CEO Bill Dow. “I expect John Tarnoff’s message to energize TRN members,” Dow said.

The 2015 Wireless Leadership Summit will be held at the W Atlanta-Midtown in Atlanta, Georgia, October 7-9. The full agenda of sessions, list of exhibitors and hotel information is available at the conference site. Event sponsors include Hytera, Icom, Kenwood, Motorola Solutions and Primus. Sponsorship and exhibit opportunities are available. For more information, contact Conference Director Elaine Walsh at 1-520-620-0063.

Registration for the Summit is open.
